Hallo,

Michael

If you do not see the update in your Creative Cloud Application, you can refresh it by hitting [Ctrl/Cmd]+[Alt/Opt]+[ R ].

Note: It may take up to 24 hours for your update to be available in your Creative Cloud app.

Thank you for your patience.

Please try to reset your preference file. If you are using Lightroom Classic it can change the location of your local storage. Please review this setting after resetting preferences.

Backup your preferences prior to resetting the preferences:

https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/kb/preference-file-and-other-file-locations.html

Reset Procedure:

  1. Close Lightroom.
  2. Hold down [Alt/Opt]+[Shift] while restarting Lightroom.
  3.  Overwrite the Preferences when prompted by the dialog.
  4. Close Lightroom.
  5. Restart Lightroom.

Will Lightroom Classic open now?

I have a suspicion, perhaps unfounded.
Are you signing out via the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop App?

Is that what you mean as offline.

When starting or even during operation, I disconnect the PC's internet connection.
The crazy thing is, Photoshop starts without a problem in this state, but Lightroom Classic does not.

No, unfortunately not.
It needs an internet connection to start.
Once it is started, I can disconnect and it continues to work.

Please post your System Information as Lightroom Classic (LrC) reports it. In LrC click on Help, then System Info, then Copy. Paste that information into a reply. Please present all information from first line down to and including Plug-in Info. Info after Plug-in info can be cut as that is just so much dead space to us non-Techs.

Ah, issue solved, never mind above request

Only a thought: do you have the synchronisation with the cloud enabled?

If yes try to disable it.

Lightroom Classic sync FAQ (adobe.com)

Another try is to create a new user account with Admin rights and check it under this account.

If this all doesn't help I would suggest a complete and clean reinstallation.

Please follow the steps below:

if you're unable to install the cc desktop app at this stage, use an administrator account (solution 4 here, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/creative-cloud-missing-damaged.html)

I have carried out a complete and clean reinstallation. Exactly as you described.
Unfortunately without success.
I still get this error message:

[Mod: Image deleted, Crash report see some postings below]

Informationen zum Grafikprozessor:
DirectX: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 (27.21.14.5751)

This observation of the above has nothing to do with your posted problem,

But

That GPU driver, v457.51 was released back in Dec 2, 2020. very old, you might want to update it.

One thing to try:

Bring up your copy of the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop App.

Sign out, then sign back in

This will deactivate your Adobe Apps upon signing out. Then it will authenticate your subscription and activate your Adobe apps (creative cloud apps)

And watch out for any error messages or notifications.

Note that this is a way to force authentication prior to say a photo trip without Internet.
But, the above has one catch, why is PS working if you had an authentication or deactivation issue?

I have done this. Unfortunately without success. This error message appears again offline.

There is no authentication or deactivation problem. When I am online, the user account is displayed correctly.

Basically, it's just a matter of starting the program. If I have opened it in online mode, I can disconnect from the Internet and continue working with the open program. Only it can not be started offline.

1. New members may have limited reply editing at first. But, if you can edit your above reply, then you could replace the screenshot with an edited one with e-mail blanked/removed.

2. Can you repeat the issue, bringing up that error screen, but copy to your clipboard the error report details. And attach that in a reply?

Also, when you get that error, in the box for info on what led to the error, place a link to your posting, so Adobe can see it. Something like:

see: https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-classic-discussions/ligtroom-classic-startet-nicht-offline/...

On the troublesome computer, when LrC is working, create a new catalog

Close LrC

Using the Windows file manager, double click on the new catalog, to open it

Now close it again, and disconnect from the Internet.

Start that catalog again. What happens?

Point being to rule out a catalog problem.
