P: Auto Sync copies previous crop from before AutoSync was enabled

Auto Sync copies a previously made crop, even though the Auto Sync was off when the crop was made.  To reproduce (see the attached screen recording):

1. Make a new catalog and import three raws.

2. Do Preferences > Performance > Camera Raw Cache > Purge Cache

3. Edit the first raw in Develop.

4. Open the Crop tool.

5. Grab the lower-right corner of the crop and move it up, rotating the photo about -30 degrees.

6. Click the Close button in the Crop tool.

7. In the filmstrip, shift-click the third photo to select all three.

7. Click the Auto Sync toggle on the Sync button.

8. Move the Exposure slider to about 3.5.

9. Observe that both the Exposure change and the crop are copied to the other two photos.

10. Observe that the History for the other photos shows the change to Exposure but not Crop.

Tested on LR 12.1 / Mac OS 12.6.1.

1. most selected photo has the crop

Hello Golding. Thanks for your answer but maybe the video i uploaded is not the best. I do not click SYNC; I just have the automatic sync option always ON, so I change the exposure and automatically applies the exposure BUT ALSO AND JUST the crop from the selected photo. It shoudn't crop the other images if i am adjusting exposure.. or at least it never did so in previous versions.

IME: If Auto-Sync is [ON] , and several are selected {ABCD}, when you crop one photo {A} the crop will apply to all photos {ABCD}.

If you Crop one photo {A} BEFORE you turn Auto-Sync [ON] then future edits (eg. Exposure) will be applied to all {ABCD}, but the Crop to {BCD} does not apply.

So it is important 'When' you do the Crop -before or after you turn on Auto-Sync.

If this is not what you experience maybe worth trying a Preferences Reset.

I was able to reproduce this and have logged the bug with the team.

When selecting multiple images and with "Auto Sync" on, if I try to change something in the HSL panel, the crop from the image I'm currently on is synced across the imges as well as the HSL adjustment. This is an intermittant issue that is resolved (like many), by quitting lightroom and restarting but it is one that can create hours of re-cropping work if not spotted soon after making the adjustments.

The issue whereby selected images are "auto syncing" the crop when making adjustments to anything BUT the crop is still present several version later. Why has this still not been addressed? Very frustrating for working professionals. See attached video. This is my second post on this in the last 6 months.
